German tomato cream soup with potential favorite recipes: Aromatic tomatoes combine with carrots and celery for a feel-good meal. With crispy homemade croutons on top, we are perfectly happy!
Tomato Cream Soup – Recipe:
200 g celeriac
2 cloves of garlic
3 tbsp olive oil
1 bay leaf
2 tbsp tomato paste
750 ml vegetable stock
1 can of tomatoes (800 g each)
4 tablespoons cream
Preparation; German tomato cream soup
- Peel and dice the celery. Clean, peel and cut the carrots into pieces. Peel onion and garlic and chop finely.
- Heat oil in a pot. Fry the celery, carrots, onions, garlic and bay leaves for 2-3 minutes. Add tomato paste and sauté briefly. Add the broth and canned tomatoes and simmer over medium heat for about 20 minutes.
- Finely puree the soup, season with salt, pepper and sugar. Arrange the cream of tomato soup in bowls and garnish each with 1 tablespoon of cream.
