Mojito is one of the most popular cocktail classics. The drink made from rum, sugar, lime juice, mint and soda water is wonderfully refreshing and brings a Cuban feeling straight into the glass!
How do you make mojitos?
Mojito originally comes from Havana, so white, Cuban rum is used for the classic preparation. Pressing the fine mint leaves releases essential oils that ensure a fresh aroma in the glass. Mojito is served in the classic way in a long drink glass.

Ingredients for 2 glasses (approx. 400 ml each)
4 sprigs of mint
2-4 tsp white cane sugar
10 cl white rum (Cuban)
250 ml soda water
1. Wash the lime in hot water, rub dry and cut into eighths. Wash mint and pat dry. Pluck the leaves from the stems, except for 2 stem tips.
2. Add 4 lime wedges and 2 teaspoons sugar to each glass and mash lightly with a cocktail pestle. Measure 5 cl of rum with a bar measure and pour into the glass. Press the mint leaves lightly between your palms and spread over the glasses.
3. Fill each glass 2/3 full with crushed ice and top up with 125ml soda water. Stir with a long spoon and decorate with the remaining mint.
